New Year, New Me!

Hey there everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas & an even better new year! I am so ready for this new year to begin! 2017 was great, but it had a lot of ups and downs, so this new year I am hoping for a clean slate & nothing but highs! I thought I would share with all of you my resolution for this new year! I’m hoping this year brings new adventures and lots of crazy antics with friends and family.

There are a lot of things that I would love to change this new year. I have always been that person that writes down a bunch of resolutions and is good about keeping them in the beginning but then not long into the new year stops following it. That is something that I would love to change this new year. Here are my new resolutions for 2018!

Make Time to Live Better

I know this is the most cliche resolution to have on my list, but it’s very true. During this past year I haven’t been as fit or physically active as I could have been & I want to change that this year. It’s mainly about making more time for it during school. Instead of making excuses, I am going to make a conscious effort to clean up my act. Whether it be going to the gym or doing meditation and yoga in the morning, I am going to make more time to treat my body well and live a better lifestyle.

Be More Kind

I have always done my best to not be so judgmental & be kind, but sometimes I can be a little mean (not intentionally). So this year I want to make a better effort at being as kind as I can be to anyone and everyone I meet. It’s important to me to spread love and happiness wherever I can.

Learn a New Language

One thing that I have always been dying to learn is ASL (American Sign Language). I know enough to get by with short little phrases, but I want to be able to try and follow a conversation with my cousin and be able to respond in a clear way. Whether I have to take classes or learn on my own time, I am going to learn more ASL.

Adventure More

I feel like this past year I was so wrapped up in school work and regular work that I had no time to go anywhere new or experience new things. Whether it’s downtown to a new restaurant or going on a long road trip, I am going to be more open to new adventures. I have always been an adventurous person & I want to be able to share that side of me.

Make More Time for Writing

Since I have started this blogging journey, I have realized that I have a new found love for writing, especially this content. Which is why I want to be able to write more! I am going to make more time in my schedule to sit down and write content, because I have a new found passion for this.

Cook More

I tend to be a pretty busy individual most of the time, especially during the school year & I eat out (or order in) a lot of the time, which is not good for my body or my wallet for that matter! This year I want to cook more meals at home and spend less time and money ordering in or going out.

Enjoy the Little Things

I have always been that person that enjoys the little things in life, but sometimes I become to focused on the bigger picture and forget about those little things in life that make it worth wile. This year I hope to continue my love for those little gestures & moments in life.

Practice Self-Love

This is one of the harder things on my resolution because it is something that I think everyone struggles with at some point in their life. However, I am working on practicing more self love for the sake of my wellbeing. I can’t keep comparing myself to everyone else, because I was born the way I am & that’s never going to change. Just doing little things to boost my confidence in myself and who I am is going to help improve the way I see myself. I think this should be something on everyones resolution list.

I hope some of my own resolution ideas give you some inspiration for you & this new year we have entered! Share with me some of your own resolution ideas you have come up with in the comments below! Also, if you haven’t yet, be sure to follow me on all social media platforms to keep up with new content that will be shared this new year!

Sending New Years Vibes,
