Hey there everyone,
I hope you all have been doing amazing & have kicked off your new year strong! So far 2019 has been going in the right direction for me. I am feeling more motivated, I have let go of a lot of weight on my shoulders and I am very excited to see what else this year has in store for me! We have started a new semester here at Grand Valley and it has just hit me that this is my final semester of college… what?! It’s crazy to think that after 4 years of being at Grand Valley I will be graduating & moving on to bigger and better things. Last week was my first week of classes and so far I am really enjoying the classes I am taking. It’s going to be a lot of work this semester, but I am ready to attack this final semester & make it the best one yet! Now that I am back in a routine, I thought I would share some of my advice to you other guys and girls who are always on the go like myself.
Plan ahead for the week
I always feel out of sorts or more stressed when I don’t have a plan for the week ahead so, I try to sit down for 10 minutes on Sunday to work out my schedule for the week with work, classes, workouts and whatever else needs to be done that week. This most definitely helps me get a better idea of what I need to get done & make sure I complete everything on my schedule!
Create a routine
This basically goes hand in hand with the planning ahead for the week & I am a person who loves a good routine! When I create a routine, I write down what I normally do on these days and I am always sure to leave some free time for relaxing, doing an activity or to spend time with my friends & boyfriend.
Take a media break
My phone has become the biggest distraction for me when it comes to trying to manage a busy schedule. I always get distracted when I have a show on or I try to take a “quick” break to scroll through social media which ends up throwing off my whole routine. It was tough to do at first, but I forced myself to silence my phone, put my head down and focus on the tasks that I had to get done. Believe me, if I can pull myself away from my phone, you can do it too!
It’s okay to say NO
I have always been that person who always said yes to things even though I have a lot of other things going on because I am a TOTAL people pleaser. It got to the point that I was so focused on 100 different things that I wasn’t having any time for myself. It’s okay if you are swamped with other things happening, to say no if one more thing on your plate will be just too much. If anything, other person should be understanding that you are busy & you can always reschedule!
Remember to take good care of yourself
I have turned over this new leaf & I have started to take better care of myself no matter what. Even with a busy schedule, it is important for you to take time to care for yourself. Whether that be exercise, meditation, naps or making yourself a delicious meal, taking a minute to focus on you is a key way to mange a busy schedule!

Creating new content has been pretty tough lately, but I am working on generating content months in advance so it will be more consistent for all of you! That being said, thank you so much to all of you who have been reading my posts. Starting this blog has been one of the best decisions that I have ever made & I can’t wait to share more content with all of you. I’ll talk to you all again soon!
