Hello beautiful friends,
I am feeling absolutely AMAZING today because it is my birthday today! I have always been the biggest birthday lover so I always look forward to all the love I receive on my birthday. It has been a crazy past few days wrapping up the last few assignments for the end of the semester, but I have been trying my best to push through to finally achieve my goal of graduating college. I know I have been saying this a lot but it is so crazy to think that next Saturday I will be graduating college and I’ll be moving onto the next adventure. I am so incredibly excited and yet so incredibly nervous about the unknown, but I am sure the journey will be an interesting ride! I have learned so much in the past 22 years of being alive and today I thought it would be fun for me to share some of the small lessons I have learned in the past 22 years.
1. Smile often
You have a beautiful smile so use it!
2. Family is everything
I have learned consistently over the years that family is everything. They are the ones who accept you, even when no one else does.
3. Don’t waste your time on negative people
Plain and simple. Put your energy into people who make you feel loved and accepted!
4. Some friends will turn into family
When you have a strong relationship with someone eventually they become more of a sister (or brother) to you!
5. A healthy diet is as important as the gym
This has taken me a little time to get right (and still is) but it’s true! Don’t let all the work you are doing at the gym go to waste because of a bad diet.
6. Always listen to your mom
Your mom understands 90% of what you are going through, so listen to her advice because it can come in handy when you need it.
7. Everyone struggles sometimes
Everyone is struggling with something. I try to keep that in mind always.
8. Dreams can come true
With hard work and a positive outlook, you can ABSOLUTELY make your dreams come true!
9. Trust in God
He has a plan for all of us and just try to trust the path you are on!
10. Friends will hurt you sometimes
It’s inevitable that you will fight with people you are close to. It’s how you choose to move forward that speaks volumes.
11. Experiences are always worth the money
Travel. Go to a concert. Splurge a little bit on a new restaurant. Try not to let money stand in the way of making memories with people you love!
12. Always be curious
This way you will never stop learning and growing!
13. Express yourself
Be true to who you are and don’t be afraid of what others may think!
14. Don’t settle for less than what you deserve
Settling in anything was always my biggest fear in life. I know what I deserve and so should you! Never think that “good” is good enough.
15. Change is inevitable
This semester a lot of thoughts of change have been on my mind lately. I can be pretty bad when it comes to big changes, so I have had to keep reminding myself that change is inevitable and I have to trust that everything will work out the way that it’s supposed to.
16. Live in the moment
Don’t take a moment for granted and always be present in any situation!
17. Focus on your own happiness
You deserve happiness! No one is going to find it for you and you need to be able to focus your energy on your own happiness.
18. Work hard. No one will do it for you
Need I say more?
19. Always stay humble and kind
Always be a loving human being. I love this saying so much and it couldn’t be more true!
20. You can’t change your past
The past is the past and all you can do is move forward to make the future a great one!
21. Not everyone will like you, and that’s okay
I have always taken it so personally when people say they don’t like me. This year I changed my mentality and found that if someone doesn’t like me, it’s not the end of the world! Focus on the people who do like you and wash away the people who don’t because they aren’t worth your time.
22. Seasons will change
Just like the weather, the seasons of your life will always change. You will go through times of loneliness and love. No season lasts forever and I can promise you it will come again!
I hope you all have a fabulous rest of your week and a fantastic weekend! I will be studying for my last week of finals all weekend (ew) but I can’t wait to share with you all the new exciting projects I have coming for this blog and the PYM blog. My hope for you all this week/weekend is to feel inspired and motivated this weekend to maybe try something new or take the leap of faith with a project you have been wanting to do for a while!
Sending Positive Vibes,
