Navigating Life’s Changes + Big News

Hello Beauties!

I’m sorry I have been away for a while. A lot of life changes have been taking over my head lately and last week I wasn’t able to get myself into a good headspace to write.  Since I have had a lot of time to think about these multiple life moments that have been happening, I have been thinking a lot about change and how to accept these moments happening in my life right now. Between job searching, a big move on the horizon, my car accident and my grandma passing away recently, I’ve come to the conclusion that life can be unpredictable and there is no right way (or wrong) way to move through life. Today I wanted to take some time to share some of my thoughts about how to navigate big changes!

Realize that change can bring some abnormal feelings

Emotions can run high when changes happen in your life. You can feel excited, scared, sad all at the same time, but that is totally normal! You have to remember that relief will come eventually and everything will work out the way that it is supposed to.

Don’t fight it

I am probably the worst person when it comes to coping with changes in life (ask my boyfriend), but I have been trying to be consistent with trying not to fight the change. Sometimes life can be unpredictable and it can be difficult to handle but the best thing you can do is let everything run its course.

Change your perspective

Most of the time we get used to the way life is currently. We are creatures of habit and we like routine so sometimes to handle change we need a change of perspective and accept how everything works out! I have found that when I try to take a minute to think about the other side and what positives may come from these changes, oddly enough it takes the pressure away. I am no longer focusing on the negative aspects of the change, instead I think about the positive outcomes that the change could bring to my life!

Find support where you can

I would have no clue how to handle change if I didn’t have my friends and family’s support through out the whole process. A lot of people have gone through the same life transitions as you and if you can talk with someone who has had the same experience, then any advice they have to give could be an advantage for you!

Know yourself

Yes this may sound cheesy, but you have to remember that you have had to make transitions in your life before and YOU GOT THIS!

Once again, I want to apologize for not writing lately. Life has been hitting me left and right so I haven’t been in the perfect headspace to write posts for this blog. I am working to write posts for the next few weeks so you should be seeing some more consistent content being posted both here and on the PYM Girls website. I also have some exciting news…. WE’RE MOVING! Holy cow it feels really good to share that news with all of you. Nick and I have decided to take a leap of faith and make a move to Connecticut with my aunt and uncle (temporarily) so we are both able to start careers in New York City! We are both super excited to start this journey together in a new state and I am so excited to continue blogging about adult life in the city. I will keep you all updated and if there are any blog posts in particular about life or moving that you would like me to write about, comment some of your ideas down below. Have a great rest of your week my lovelies and I can’t wait to talk to you all again soon!

Sending Positive Vibes,
