30 Self-Care Activities To Try

Hi Everyone ~

I hope you are having a good start to your week! Right now I am currently writing this while watching buckets upon buckets of snow falling down in Jersey City and it got me thinking about all the fun things I could try while we’re stuck inside. I have been trying to focus more on the importance of self-care this year and just taking time to relax and focus on myself for a while. I think when most people think about self-care they think that it’s only a girl thing or it’s just skincare and bubble baths. However, self-care can mean a number of things! It can be anything that brings you joy and relaxes you. For me, it may be a nice essential oil shower or even cleaning the apartment and for someone else, it may be reading a book or watching their favorite movie. Make time to do whatever self-care activity makes you feel happier and refreshed to go about your week. I created a list of 30 different activities that I believe everyone should try while we are working from home or just stuck inside. If you have any recommendations that you’d like me to give a shot, let me know in the comments and I can document my experience. I love trying new activities, and I hope you enjoy trying out some of the options below!

  1. Take a hot bubble bath with all the fixings
  2. Take a 1 hour break without electronic devices
  3. Try a guided meditation
  4. Color in an adult coloring book
  5. Go for a walk
  6. Do some beginner yoga
  7. Schedule a massage
  8. Take a fun dance class
  9. Make a healthy smoothie
  10. Create a vision board for yourself
  11. Watch your favorite movie/show
  12. Read a book
  13. Listen to a podcast that brings you joy
  14. Start a gratitude journal
  15. Take an essential oil shower
  16. Volunteer for a cause you are passionate about
  17. Watch the sunrise or sunset
  18. Call a family member
  19. Clean out your closet or another area of your home
  20. Give yourself a spa day
  21. Practice positive affirmations
  22. Play with makeup for fun!
  23. Get brunch with your friends
  24. Call your bestie
  25. Have a game night
  26. Get a mani/pedi
  27. Go to a local coffee shop
  28. Make a delicious dinner
  29. Try a new workout
  30. Take a relaxed nap

    1. I love essential oil showers! I’ll just mix a few of my favorite oils in the shower and let the steam carry through the relaxing scents. Definitely give it a try sometime! And vision boards are so helpful in helping create the ideal life you want to live 🤩
